Google Nexus S is supposed to be one true Android device, but Korean telecom carriers want to load their own applications like T-Maps and got cold shoulder from Google. Thus, none of the two major telecom carriers is willing to carry the phone right now.
In a report at Korea Times, KT spokesman Lee In-won said, “Currently, we have no plans to introduce Google’s latest Android handset’’. SK Telecom spokeswoman Cindy Kang expressed similar views, she said her firm is still waiting for a change in Google’s stance in terms of overseas marketing.
