Olive Telecom to launch a series of Android phones in 2011

Olive Telecom is gearing up to release a series of Android smartphones in India next year. Available around March, these smartphone will have Android 2.2 on-board and catering to different budgets.

According to Telecom Yatra, company is also planning to launch one high end Android phone to compete with the likes of Galaxy S.  We hope they get their hardware and price right, they might be able to create a few ripples.

Brand name might not matter in cheap phones, but people go only for brands if they want to spend 20-30K on a smartphone.

Olive Telecom has launched only one Android device till now, which is their tablet OlivePad.
