Sony Playstation App arriving on Android soon

Sony has announced that it will soon be launching a Playstation app for Android devices running on Android 1.6+.  This app is not what you might expect it, but it brings some of PS goodness on Android.

Initially, the Playstation app will allow you to:

• Check out your PlayStation Network trophies and keep up to date with your friends’ games and online status.
• Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2.
• Read all the announcements on the European PlayStation.Blog.
• Share your favourite products or news with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via e-mail.

The first version of the application will only be available in UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and The Netherlands, while the later version will bring support for more countries.
