Google Maps Navigation coming to Australia this Wednesday

The free turn by turn navigation assistant application Maps Navigation from Google will soon be available for Android phones in Australia.

According to Ausdroid, the announcement in this regard is expected on November 17 i.e. Wednesday.

Currently Google Map Navigation is only available in the following countries.

  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Netherlands
  • Portugal
  • Spain
  • Switzerland
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

Google Maps Navigation (Beta) requires at least Android OS 1.6 and comes included as a part of Google Maps for Android v3.2 and higher.
