Tablet wars heat up in Australia – Optus to launch My Tab

Advertisements

It seems telecom operators in Australia are not leaving any stone unturned to grab the growing tablet market. After Telstra, which launched T-Touch Android tablet, Optus is planning to launch “My Tab”.

My Tab has been manufactured by ZTE, and will sell $20 less than T-Touch for $279 outright.  Optus My Tab will come with 7 inch resistive display, a 2GB micro SD card, and a 3 megapixel in-built camera.

It is expected to go on sale from mid-December and will have Android 2.1 on-board.
