Google Maps latest update brings real time updating, search filters and more

Google yesterday updated its Google Maps application with a new design for Place page reviews, more options to filter search results, and a Google Latitude real-time updating option.

Place page reviews: Place page review now a new design similar to deskptop one and it lets you check out “Reviews from around the web” and “Reviews from Google users”, as shown in the image below.

Filter search results: New Maps now let you filter results for some searches by Open now, Neighborhood and Related searches.

Google Latitude real-time updating: Google has added a new experimental “Real-time updating” option from an individual Latitude friend’s profile page. (Requires Android 2.2+ and new maps at both ends)
