NTT Docomo launches Froyo powered Samsung Galaxy S in Japan

In a release event held earlier today, NTT Docomo launched Samsung’s flagship Android smartphone Galaxy S in Japan.

This Android 2.2 running smartphone will start selling nationwide in Japan from today.  Samsung Galaxy S features a 4-inch SUPER AMOLED touch screen, 5.0-megapixel camera and 1 Ghz Hummingbird processor.

NTT Docomo’s version of Galaxy S can download Android applications from “docomo market” mobile portal, Android Market as well as Samsung Apps.

Docomo Galaxy S users will also be able to avail the services of an e-book distribution service that DOCOMO plans to launch today.
