Android leads the pack in comScore’s latest report
ComScore, the digital research firm, has just published its latest report on the US smartphone market share and Android has the largest pie with 48.6% market share, up 2.3%. This data has been obtained for the three month period- ending January. This comes as no surprise and shows that Android is still on the growth curve.

Samsung has announced another budget Android smartphone Galaxy Pocket today. It will join Galaxy Y and other entry-level models in its Galaxy portfolio. Galaxy Pocket would be available in Italy starting from March, and will be gradually rolled out to Europe, CIS, Latin America, Southeast and Southwest Asia, Middle East, Africa, and China.

Samsung has announced an upgraded version of Galaxy Player 70 today in South Korea. The new Galaxy Player 70 Plus brings dual core processor and a large 2500 mAh battery to this five inch PMP. Scheduled to go on sale soon in South Korea, 16GB version of 70 Plus will be priced at 399,000 won while the 32GB variant will go for 469,000 won.

More details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S III smartphone have come to light. BGR is reporting that S3 will come with a 1.5GHz quad core Exynos processor and 4.8 inch 1080p full HD display.
