Samsung’s recently announced Galaxy Ace upgrade – Ace Plus is now on pre-order in India at online retailer Flipkart. According to the product listing, Galaxy Ace Plus has been priced at INR 16,275 and will start shipping from March 21.

The MIUI ROM is known throughout the world. It ranks right up there with CyanogenMod as one of the most popular ROM’s to date. Those of you that know what I am talking about would have only changed from it for one simple reason, ICS. For the rest of you, you may have no idea what I am blabbering on about. It would be worth your time to check into it. A good place to start is HERE. If flashing custom ROM’s isn’t built into your DNA, you can at least appreciate a great music player application. Lets face it, the stock one on our devices lacks a certain amount of flair.

Google Play Store updates to 3.4.7 to fix Motorola support Issues
Google Play Store and the whole Google Play branding is not only a big change to the way we use our devices, but also a huge move for Google and Android as a whole. Many of you may have thought you deleted your market some how, absolutely hate the new name or icon, or can’t believe Google just dropped an update with out warning. Your situation could be worse. A whole slew of Motorola device owners were just as irritated as you were, with the exception that they couldn’t even use the new Play Store. Apparently there was an incompatibility issue between the update and certain versions of the MotoBlur UI. Most notably, users couldn’t install anything and kept getting broken links. What a drag.

While eager consumers are still waiting for HTC’s newly announced quad core smartphone One X to reach market, famed dev Paul of Modaco has released an easy root method for the smartphone. This is expected to work on the retail models; however it does not provide permanent ADB root access, so there is still some work left.

Galaxy S II ICS update coming March 10, says Samsung Philippines (Update)
After Samsung Israel hinted towards March 15 as the ICS release date for Galaxy S II, Philippines branch of the company is now telling that update is coming as early as March 10. Again, this is only valid for Philippines users, so other international users might receive updates on their GS2 smartphones on a later date.

HTC has started rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich update for Sensation users in Nordic countries and Sensation XE users in Germany. It is now available OTA and can be downloaded now. Company is expected to push the update in other European countries in the coming days.
