Motorola has launched two new Honeycomb tablets on Verizon’s network in the United States today. These are the same tablets, which were recently launched in United Kingdom as Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition. Dubbed as Droid Xyboard 10.1 and Droid Xyboard 8.2, these tablets will be available online and in stores sometime this month. Along with the tablets, Motorola has also introduced the white variant of Droid RAZR today on Verizon.

Cheap tablets are flooding the market like anything. Soon after MIPS announced a $99 ICS tablet, we have a $229.99 FroYo tablet with Tegra 2 processor inside. Cheap does not necessary mean bad, but you should be very careful before buying such devices.

Dell stops Streak 7 sales in US, but is not backing away from Android

Dell has stopped selling its big Android failure Streak 7 in United States. According to tablet’s listing page on the Dell’s official US website, “Streak 7 is no longer available online.” This seven inch tablet, which made its debut at this year’s CES, but did not get traction because it was running on Android 2.2 and had a poor 800X480 display resolution in the age of Honeycomb tablets with HD displays.

AT&T has started selling LG Nitro HD and the white version of Samsung Skyrocket smartphones in United States. You can grab a Nitro HD now for $249.99 with a two-year contract, or $599.99 without one, Skyrocket can also be purchased for the same price.
Android 2.3 Update Roundup – Droid Charge, Motorola Milestone X
Huawei Ideos X5 wasn’t the only Android smartphone that got the much awaited Gingerbread update yesterday. There are two more phones that received Android 2.3 update in the United States – Verizon Droid Charge and Cellcom Milestone X.

LG has made Nitro HD, the AT&T’s version of Optimus LTE official today. It will be available in stores and online starting December 4 for $249.99 with a two-year contract. AT&T also announced with the launch that is has expanded LTE to 15 markets and plans to reach 70 million Americans by year-end.
