The Google Play Store seems to be having its fair share of issues today, though I was able to manage to snag one pretty important update just a few minutes ago. Apex Launcher, one of the latest homescreen replacement applications to join the already-polluted crowd, was updated to version 1.0.3 this afternoon.

Wikipedia for Android updated with improved tablet UI, Quick Search Bar integration and more
The official Wikipedia application for Android devices has just received an update to version 1.1. The upgrade brings with it an improved UI for tablet users, which I must admit, does look much better that the first release did on my Asus Transformer TF101. The Quick Search bar has also been implemented throughout the app, making it even easier to dig up those facts in times of need.

Opera Mini 7 browser now available for the taking in Google Play Store
Opera Mini 7 has been released for devices running Android 1.5 and up. The latest version of the mobile web browser brings along with it several new features, including OpenGLES hardware and NFC Beam support for devices running Android 4.0. The update also improves the Speed Dial start page, tab management and the “find-in-page” UI.
