Tecno Pova with MediaTek Helio G80 SoC launching in India on December 4

Tecno Pova is getting ready for India launch after making its global debut in September this year. The mobile brand from Transsion Holdings will unveil the phone on December 4 in the country. The phone will be offered in partnership with Flipkart that is teasing the launch with a microsite on its platform. Tecno Pova is an affordable phone that includes specifications like MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and a big 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. 

Additionally, the phone comes with a 6.8-inch HD+ screen that sports a hole-punch design with the cutout placed on the top-left corner. Further, there is a quad camera setup on the back of the Pova that is headlined by a 13-megapixel shooter. Other three cameras on the phone include a 2-megapixel depth sensor, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and an AI lens of sometime. The phone also packs an 8-megapixel selfie shooter and rear fingerprint sensor.

The phone runs on HiOS 7.0, based on Android 10, and houses 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Connectivity options include 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Tecno Pova price in India (expected)

There is no word on the India pricing of the Tecno Pova; however, the phone is priced at PHP 6,999 (roughly Rs. 10,800) in Philippines. The Tecno Pova India price could be in line with the Philippines pricing. It may be offered in Magic Blue, Speed Purple and Dazzle Black colours.

Tecno isn’t the only smartphone maker launching new phones in India this week. Vivo is introducing its V20 Pro on December 2, Motorola is launching its Moto G 5G today, and Infinix is bringing Zero 8i on December 3. We have more stuff happening on the global front, so, even the last month of the year will be filled with tech releases.
