Akai is the latest TV brand to join Onida in launching a Fire TV edition television in India. The new Akai Fire TV Edition carries a 43-inch screen with full-HD resolution and is now available in the country. Unlike most smart TV models in the country that run on Android TV platform, the Akai TV uses Amazon’s Fire TV OS to offer the same experience that one gets with Fire TV Stick devices.
Akai Fire TV Edition 43-inch model is priced at Rs. 23,999 and can be purchased via Amazon. There is no word if or when it will be released via other platforms as well as offline retailers. At this pricing, Akai’s new smart TV will be going against TVs from Xiaomi, Realme, TCL, Hisense, OnePlus, Samsung, Vu, Nokia, LG, and more. Akai says it will soon bring a 32-inch model as well as a 55-inch model with Fire TV OS.
