Poco M3 is a new mobile phone from Poco, the spin-off brand of Xiaomi. It was announced today i.e. November 24 via an online stream for global consumers. Unlike a number of Poco phones launched in 2020, Poco M3 doesn’t seem to be a rebranded version of any existing Redmi or Xiaomi phone. It seems the brand has made a new mobile for its consumers. Poco M3 India launch details remain a mystery for now but the brand has revealed the global pricing and specifications of the phone. 

Poco M3 price

According to Poco, the M3 price is set at $149 (roughly Rs. 11,000) for the base 64GB model, whereas the 128GB model will retail at $169 (roughly Rs. 12,500). For a limited period, Poco will be offering a discounted pricing. There is no word on Poco M3 price in India or whether the phone will even make its way to the country. Poco says it will sell the M3 in three colour options – Power Black, Cool Blue, and Poco Yellow.

The phone will go on sale starting November 27 via Amazon and AliExpress.

Poco M3 specifications, features

Poco M3 features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ screen and runs on MIUI 12 for Poco operating system, based on Android. The phone has a 90.34 percent screen-to-body ratio and sports Gorilla Glass. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, paired with Adreno 610 GPU, 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. Further, you get dual-SIM support as well as a dedicated microSD card slot that can support up to 512GB of storage. 

In terms of the camera capabilities, it features three cameras on the back, headlined by a 48-megapixel shooter. The other two cameras include a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. 

There is a 6,000mAh battery in the phone, a first for Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco phones. The battery supports 18W fast charging as well as reverse charging. Poco is also including a fast charger in the M3 box. 

On the design front, the new Poco phone sports a waterdrop-style notch up front to house the selfie camera and there is a soft touch faux-leather finish on the back.  The phone also houses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, IR blaster, and 3.5mm audio jack.
