After a number of teasers, OnePlus on Thursday unveiled the new Sandstone White colour option for its OnePlus 5T smartphone. According to the company, it is limited edition release, so there is probably not going to be a whole lot of units of the Sandstone White OnePlus 5T on sale. Speaking of the sales, the Sandstone White version will be available beginning January 9.
Unlike the Midnight Black OnePlus 5T, the Sandstone White version will only be offered in 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage variant. The pricing remains same as the black colour option, meaning it will retail at $559 in the US. There is word on the India availability at this point and the India website of OnePlus is yet to list the Sandstone white version. I am trying to to find out more information, but if the Sandstone White OnePlus 5T does arrive in the country, it will retail at INR 37,999.
Early hands on reports are suggesting that Sandstone White is only Sandstone in name and the texture of the phone is is very different from what OnePlus offered in the OnePlus One and Two phones. It is essentially the same phone, which was offered as the Star Wars edition, but without the Stars Wars branding.
To remind you, the OnePlus 5T is the latest Android phone from the company. It was originally introduced in November last year. It features a 6.01-inch AMOLED full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor. The phone also packs dual rear camera, 16MP selfie camera and 3300 mAh battery.
Apart from the Midnight Black colour and the new Sandstone White, there is a Lava Red version as well of the 5T in the Chinese market. There are reports that Lava Red version is coming to India this month.
