HTC might have just sold a significant portion of its smartphone team to Google, but the Taiwanese manufacturer is not calling it quits from the smartphone market. The company is busy working on a number of new smartphones, which will be released this year. One of these phones is going to be HTC U11 Plus, a large-screen upgrade to the company’s flagship U11.

According to FrAndroid, the U11 Plus will be unveiled at a press event in China during November. The phone will sport a 5.99-inch 2880x144p 18:9 edge-to-edge screen. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor and feature 4/ 6-gigabytes of RAM, 64/ 128-gigabytes of internal storage and IP68 water resistance.

Other rumoured specifications of the HTC U11 Plus include 12-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and Edge Sense (squeezable sides) support.

There is no word on a pricing or international release at the moment.

HTC U11 Life

FrAndroid adds that HTC U11 Plus will be joined by the rumoured HTC U11 Life phone at the China launch event.
