Consumer electronics company Truvison has announced the launch of a new smart TV in the Indian market. According to the company, the 32-inch smart TV runs on Android 4.4 (not Android TV platform) and comes with support for Miracast.

The actual implementation of Android is unclear at this point, but by the looks of it, the company has simply embedded a small Android-based TV box inside the TV. It will function same as if you buy one of cheap Android TV boxes from Aliexpress and connect them to your HDTV. In such an implementation, Android doesn’t function as the base platform for the whole TV, but is available as an add-on. Such a setup is also probably why the TV has an obsolete Android version – KitKat – on-board.

Other specifications of the TX3271 include two HDMI ports, full HD display resolution, surround sound system, and two USB ports.

According to Truvison, the TX3271 will go on sale this month for INR 23,490.
