Update: Micromax has now officially launched the Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 phones. The Bharat 4 has been priced at INR 4,999 and Bharat 3 at INR 4499. Both phones are available in the country beginning today (Sept 18). There is still no word on the Bharat 2+ price or availability.

Earlier (Sept 15): Micromax is all set to expand its Bharat-series of smartphones in the country. The company has quietly listed the new Bharat 2+, Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 phones on its website.

The new smartphones were first revealed by the company in a press release earlier this week when it announced that the Bharat 2 phone had crossed 2 million sales mark in just 50 days. At the same time, it has stated that the new Bharat series phones will go on sale in the coming weeks. Although the exact availability dates of the new Bharat smartphones are a mystery at this point, you can expect them to hit stores before the end of this month.

Like the Bharat 2, the three new phones are also going to be very affordable and it is clear given the specifications. The Bharat 2+, Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 feature Android 7.0 Nougat, 1GB of RAM, microSD card slot, and 4G VoLTE support. The phones also come with support for 22 India regional languages. You can check out the detailed specifications later in the report.

Pricing of the new models remain a mystery at this point, but I am expecting Bharat 2+ and Bharat 3 to get a price-tag below INR 5K and Bharat 4 to be priced around INR 5-5.5K.
