Play Store update for Android TV makes app discovery easier

Google has rolled out a new version of Play Store client for Android TV devices, which brings over 600 applications and games to the front and expands the visible app catalogue considerably. Until now, apart from select applications, most Android TV apps were only accessible via search on Play Store.

According to a report in Venture Beat, the Play Store update also adds 20 new curated collections like multiplayer games, everyday apps and more, which make app-discovery easier on Android TV devices.
