Although Huawei P8 Lite smartphone was being showcased by the company at various trade fairs and industry events, Huawei had not officially announced the phone. All this changes today, as the company has just released a press release confirming the arrival of the phone. Huawei P8 Lite joins the P8 and P8 Max smartphones in the company’s portfolio.

The company has also stated that Huawei P8 Lite is now on sale in the United States via Amazon.com, GetHuawei.com, B&H, Fry’s Electronics, Target.com and other retailers. The phone will also be coming soon to BestBuy.com and select Best Buy stores. It can be grabbed in White or Black colours at $249.99 without contract and unlocked.

“With a perfect balance of style, functionality and value, the P8 lite gives consumers a premium yet easily accessible device and experience,” said Zhiqiang Xu, President of Huawei Device USA.

As indicated by the price-tag, Huawei P8 Lite is mid-range smartphone. It comes with 5-inch 720p HD display, 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.4 with EMUI 3.0. The phone also packs 13MP f2.2 primary camera with LED flash, 5MP f2.4 front shooter, 2200 mAh battery, 4G LTE support and dual-SIM card slots.
