Moto GMoto G (1st Gen) getting Android 5.0.2 update in US

Motorola has finally started rolling out the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for the original Moto G (3G) smartphone in the United States. The update is now live over-the-air and will automatically reach your Moto G unit. You can also manually look for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > System updates.

Sony hosting press event on May 26 in India

Sony India has sent out invites to the tech press in India for a press event on May 26. The company is expected to launch the M4 Aqua smartphone on the day, but we won’t be surprised if they introduce other devices too, because it is unlikely they are hosting a launch event just for a mid-range smartphone.Sony Xperia M4 Aqua

As the name suggests, Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is a waterproof smartphone. It features a 5-inch 720p HD display, 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, Android 5.0 and 2GB of RAM.

There is no word on the pricing at this point.

LG G4 dual-SIM variant goes on sale in select markets

LG has released the dual-SIM variant of its flagship G4 smartphone in select markets. According to online reports, the phone is now on sale in Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Indonesia. It is also coming soon to Philippines and Ukraine.

The company is offering two versions of the dual-SIM variant – one with both SIM cards supporting 4G LTE, other with one SIM for 4G and other for 2G.

There is no word on when this dual-SIM variant will reach other markets. [via]
