Indian smartphone vendor Micromax has partnered with MoFirst Solutions to offer the Indian Android users a smartphone experience in their native language.
The MoFirst tie-up brings two key features to Micromax Android devices – Swipe technology for transliteration and translation in text input and an Android app store called ‘App Bazaar’ with applications translated in Indian languages.
According to a report in The Economic Times, Micromax Unite 3 is the first smartphone from the company to include these features. MoFirst’s Swipe technology will allow the consumers to transliterate or translate text input with a simple swipe, while the App Bazaar brings around 10,000 apps like Skype and Clean Master in ten Indian languages.
“The Unite 3 is a very strategic model for us where we’re going a step ahead with translation and transliteration. We’re going to work with them across all our phones for the language support, going forward,” Shubhajit Sen, CMO, Micromax, told ET.
