Over a fortnight after launching the phone in its home-market, LG has announced that it will begin rolling out its new flagship smartphone ‘G4’ this week in key markets globally. The phone will continue expanding to more countries over the course of May and June. The first international market to get the phone will be Hong Kong, followed by Turkey, Russia and Singapore.
“The LG G4 is our most ambitious smartphone yet because it is unlike any other flagship mobile phone on the market today. Our vision is to create our own set of standards without worrying about what trend other smartphones are following. We think we have a winning formula because the initial reaction to the G4 has been tremendously positive,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
Originally introduced in late-April, LG G4 comes with a 5.5-inch Quad-HD IPS display, Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, 16MP f1.8 primary camera with OIS and laser auto-focus as well as 8MP front shooter.
The phone runs on Android 5.1 and will be offered in six leather-back choices (Black, Brown, Blue, Red, Yellow and Beige) and three plastic options (White, Silver and Grey).
The pricing of the phone will be revealed by the company’s regional units in the respective markets.
