Chinese tech giant Lenovo on Monday introduced its S60 smartphone in the Indian market. The phone has been priced at INR 12,999 and will be offered in White, Grey and Yellow colour options. The S60 is now on sale at the company’s The Do Store and Amazon India.

A cheaper cousin of the company’s S90 smartphone, the new S60 features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Vibe UI 2.0 and there is no word on the roll-out of the Android 5.0 update for the phone.

Other specifications of the smartphone include 2GB of RAM, 8GB of on-board storage, microSD card slot and 2150 mAh battery. In addition, Lenovo has packed dual-SIM support, 13MP primary camera with LED flash, 5MP front shooter with fixed-focus, and 4G LTE connectivity in the S60.

At the given price-tag, the phone will be competing with the Asus Zenfone 2 and Xiaomi Mi 4i in the country, both of which are better than the Lenovo S60, at least on paper.
