Panasonic launches Eluga L 4G smartphone at INR 12,990

Panasonic on Monday introduced a new Android smartphone, Eluga L 4G, in the Indian market. Priced at INR 12,990, it is the company’s first 4G phone in the country and will be available in the Blue colour option.

“The newly launched Smartphone ELUGA L will enable faster data transfer by not only providing a better bandwidth but also a quicker speed. As cellular data is a part of many people’s lives today, this phone will enable them to utilize the internet in a quicker and richer way thus opening new possibilities in the fast growing technology environment today,” said Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India.

According to the company, Eluga L 4G sports a 6.1mm thick chassis and comes with 5-inch HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, and 1GB of RAM. The phone also packs 8MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter, Android 4.4 with Fit Home UI, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

Other specifications are unclear at this point, but we will update the report as soon as we know.

At the given price-tag, the new Panasonic Eluga L 4G will have a hard-time competing with the likes of Lenovo A6000 Plus, Xiaomi Mi 4i, Moto G (2nd Gen), and Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML smartphones.
