After being rolled-out to Nexus Player, Google’s new Android 5.1.1 OS is now ready to hit more Nexus devices.
The company on Thursday released the factory images based on Android 5.1.1 for Nexus 7 Wi-Fi, Nexus 7 (2013) Wi-Fi and Nexus 10 tablets on its developer website. The factory images can be grabbed from this link. We expect the updated factory images for other Nexus devices to be available soon as well.
In addition, Google has begun the OTA roll-out of the Android 5.1.1 update for Nexus 10 tablet. Around 14MB in size, the update will automatically reach the tablet over the next few days. According to Google, Android 5.1.1 includes mainly bug-fixes and stability improvements.
With factory images already available for Nexus 7 Wi-Fi tablets, they should next in line for the OTA. As always, we will let you know as soon the roll-out begins.
Your headline says Nexus 7 (2012, 2013) but your article mentions only the 2013 version. So which is correct?

If you will read carefully, the report mentions both versions – “Nexus 7 Wi-Fi, Nexus 7 (2013) Wi-Fi”, the first Nexus 7 is the 2012 version.
