OnePlus is planning to launch two smartphones this year: Report

Advertisements

While most of us have taken it for granted that we will see the successor to OnePlus One smartphone this year, OnePlus is working to surprise us with another smartphone in late-2015.

Yes, OnePlus is making two phones, reports Bloomberg. While the OnePlus One successor will most likely be dubbed as OnePlus 2 (OnePlus Two), there is no word on the branding of the second phone, which is expected to be a cheaper model. The company is likely to target a price-tag around $150 for this unnamed smartphone.

No other details are available at this point, but Bloomberg notes that the OnePlus’ budget smartphone won’t be available until the end of the year. OnePlus Two, however, will arrive in the quarter beginning July.

The company also told Bloomberg that it is expecting to sell 3-5 million smartphones this year, up from 1 million last year. It has as even ambitious target for 2016 – 10 million.
