Asus India has finally revealed that it will be launching the new Zenfone 2 smartphone on April 23 in the country. The pricing and availability details are still a mystery, but the smartphone will most likely go on sale before the end of April.

Asus had previously stated that it plans to launch three variants of the Zenfone 2 in the Indian market – ZE551ML, ZE550ML and ZE500CL, but it has not stated which RAM & storage versions of the ZE551ML will reach the country. These details will become clear on the launch day.

Originally introduced at the CES trade fair in January this year, Asus Zenfone 2 is the successor to company’s original Zenfone and comes with specifications like quad-core Intel Atom processor, upto 4GB of RAM, upto 64GB of internal storage, Android 5.0 with Zen UI and 13MP rear camera (8MP in ZE500CL).

Like the original Zenfone-series, we expect the Zenfone 2 smartphones to be available via Flipkart online and in Asus stores offline. You can read more about the Zenfone 2 in the related links below.
