Sony to update Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 to Lollipop

Sony has announced that it will release the Lollipop update for Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 smartphones. The company has not given any time-frame for the update at this point, but it has promised to reveal more details in the coming days.

The latest announcement from the company comes as a surprise as Sony had earlier stated that it doesn’t plan to update any other device to Lollipop apart from the Z-series phones and tablets. It seems the company had a change of heart.

Sony had also stated that it has expanded the roll-out of Lollipop update for Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z3 Compact Tablet to more markets. It was originally started from Nordic and Baltic regions.

Here is a video demo from Sony showcasing the new software experience based on Android 5.0.
