Xiaomi on Tuesday announced a new limited edition variant of the Mi Note smartphone. It will be known as Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition and as the name suggests, this variant sports the back made of Bamboo.

According to Xiaomi, the Bamboo back is only 0.9mm thick and the overall weight of this limited edition is actually 5 grams less than the standard Mi Note.

It features the same specs as the standard version, which comes with 5.7-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 801, 3GB RAM, dual-4G SIM card slots, 13MP f 2.0 rear camera with OIS and a 4MP front shooter.

Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition has got a price-tag of 2299 yuan ($370) and will go on sale beginning March 24. The registrations for the first sale are now open in China. There is no word on the launch of this limited edition in other markets as at this point as even the standard version is yet to reach anywhere outside China.
