Karbonn Platinum P9 is a phablet with 6-inch qHD display & 8MP front cam

Karbonn has quietly added a new budget phablet to its Android portfolio in the Indian market. Part of the company’s brand new Platinum-series, the new Karbonn Platinum P9 smartphone sports a 6-inch IPS qHD display and can be grabbed from e-retailer Snapdeal.com as well as brick and mortar stores in Black colour. It has been priced at INR 8,899.

The Karbonn Platinum P9 is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor and comes with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and dual-SIM support. The phone also packs 2500 mAh battery, 8MP rear as well as front cameras and the usual connectivity options including 3G.

Given the large-screen size and high-res front cam, the phone will be enticing to a niche consumer set, who either want a really large-screen phone or high-resolution front shooter. Rest of the specifications of the phone are quite ordinary, especially the display resolution.
