
Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has added two new Android tablets to its portfolio in the Indian market. The company is launching the Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) and MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL), both devices will go on sale exclusively via e-retailer Flipkart.
“These products are set to appease the present day computing needs of the masses. They are very handy and light weight and yet loaded with features which not only keep its users connected but also engaged via fast connectivity and speedy response time. Both the tablets are an assimilation of high end technology and superlative design perfection,” said Peter Chang, Regional Head, South Asia & Country Manager System Business Group, ASUS India.
Talking about the tablets, the Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) was originally unveiled in Janauary this year and comes with 7-inch 1024x600p IPS display, Intel Atom Z2520 dual-core processor and 3G support with voice calling. In addition, the tablet packs Android 4.4 with Zen UI, 3950 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera and dual-SIM support.
Asus MeMo Pad 8 (ME581CL) sports an 8-inch full HD IPS display, 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor, and 4350 mAh battery. The tablet also features 2GB of RAM, Android 4.4, 5MP rear camera and 4G LTE support.
According to Asus, the Fonepad 7 has been priced at INR 10,999, while the MeMO Pad 8 will retail for INR 19,999.
