Samsung Galaxy S5 mini to get Android 5.0 update in Q2, 2015

Samsung Galaxy S5 miniThe Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S5 mini will be arriving in the second quarter of this year, revealed Samsung France to a consumer on Twitter.

“Pour le #GalaxyS5mini, la mise à jour sera disponible au deuxième trimestre 2015 (For # Galaxy S5 mini, the update will be available in the second quarter 2015),” replied Samsung France when asked “Bonjour concernant le galaxy s5 mini savez vous quand il aura le droit à Lollipop? Merci (Hello, the Galaxy S5 mini, do you know when it will get Lollipop? Thank You).

While the time-frame is officially valid only for France, the roll-out for other markets is also expected to happen around the same time.

To remind you, Samsung Galaxy S5 mini was originally unveiled in July 2014 and comes with Android 4.4 in 3G and 4G LTE variants.
