Major Google Calendar app update rolling out in next few days

Google is all set to roll out a major update for its Calendar Android application in the coming days, revealed Gmail Team in a Google+ post. According to the post, Google has looked into the feedbacks from the users and has incorporated them in the new update. The company has also stated that it is working to add more feedback in the coming versions of the update.

Here is a look at some of the highlights of the upcoming Google Calendar app update:

  • More events at a glance with 7-day week view and pinch-to-zoom
  • Events from Gmail – Flight, hotel, concert, restaurant reservations and more to be added to your calendar automatically
  • Control whether birthdays from Google+ are shown in settings
  • A new option to show week numbers in settings
  • Import .ics files sent to you in Gmail and other apps to Google Calendar

The application can be downloaded from Google Play for free.
