Karbonn, the Indian smartphone maker, has quietly released a new smartphone “Karbonn S15” in the country. Now available on Indiatimes Shopping for INR 3,830, the smartphone is yet to be listed on the company website.
S15 sports a 4-inch 800x480p display and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. The dual-SIM smartphone is powered by an unspecified 1.2GHz quad-core processor and features 512MB of RAM along with 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using microSD cards of up to 32GB. Other specifications include 3.2MP rear camera with LED flash and a front-facing camera. In addition, Karbonn has included a 1500mAh battery, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and sensors like proximity sensor, G-sensor and light sensor.
Karbonn S15 can be grabbed in two colour options – black and white. At the given price-tag, S15 seems like a decent option for anyone looking to get a smartphone under INR 4K. Quad-core CPU, 512MB of RAM and KitKat should be enough to provide decent performance.
