Xiaomi will open the registrations for the third Mi 4 flash sale at 6PM today in the Indian market. This sale, for the first time, will include the 64GB version of the phone in addition to the 16GB version, which had already gone on sale two times.
As we had earlier reported, the 64GB Mi 4 will retail for INR 23,999 in the country and will be available in the White version like the 16GB variant.
The flash sale is scheduled for 2PM on February 24 at Flipkart, and the registrations will continue until 11:59PM on February 23.
To remind you, Mi 4 runs on Android 4.4-based MIUI 6 and features a 5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera and 8MP front shooter.
Xiaomi experiments with reduced checkout time in flash sale
To stop the consumers, who add Mi phones in their Flipkart cart during flash sales without any intention of buying the phones for themselves, Xiaomi earlier today offered reduced checkout time in the Mi 4 flash sale. The consumers only had until 02:30PM to finish the payment after adding the phone in their cart, earlier the company used to allow the payment until 06:00PM.
It is unclear right now whether the reduced time helped Xiaomi or if it plans to continue to same for the future sales.
A serious contender to OnePlus one, but that bland squarish iPhone 5 look is a letdown.
