Google Maps gets lane-guidance in 15 new European countries

Google has announced that it has added navigation lane guidance support for 15 new markets. According to the search giant, the Maps for Android navigation users in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, and Switzerland will now get lane suggestions within app.

So, how does the lane guidance work in Google Maps for Android?

Google notes that when you approach an intersection or exit with multiple lanes, Google maps Navigation can help. Voice guidance and step-by-step directions suggest which lanes are best for your route.

To remind you, lane guidance was originally added in Google Maps for Android last year in May. It as was initially available in US and later added for select European markets, followed by India last month.

To use the lane guidance on your Android device, just make sure you are running the latest version of the Google Maps application from Play Store.
