Samsung has started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Galaxy S4 smartphone in the Indian market. The update is now available over-the-air (OTA) as well as via Kies application.
Over 990MB in size, the update is based on Android 5.0.1 and brings the usual Lollipop changes to the smartphone like updated version of TouchWiz UX with material design changes, performance enhancements, better notifications, ART as default runtime, updated version of system apps, and more.
To remind you, Samsung retails the Exynos version of Galaxy S4 in the country. The S4 owners will automatically get a notifications once the update is available for their smartphone, however you can also manually look for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.

I hear there are battery issues and the device is consuming more than the earlier Kitkat 4.4.2 version. Anyone experienced this?
