Xiaomi’s first Android tablet is finally ready for a broader roll-out and will go on sale in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan on February 10. As you can expect, limited number of the Xiaomi Mi Pad units will be available in each market, so make sure you are registered for tomorrow’s sale in your respective market and ready to jump in and grab one as soon as the sale officially opens.
The tablet has been priced at S$299 in Singapore, RM 799 in Malaysia and NT$6,999 in Taiwan and Xiaomi only seems to be offering 16GB White version in all markets outside China right now. The 64GB variants and other colour options might be released on a later date, but there has been no official announcements regarding the same until now.
To remind you, Xiaomi Mi Pad was originally unveiled in May 2014 and went on sale for the first time in July. The tablet features a 7.9-inch 2048x1536p display, NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 quad-core SoC, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 2GB of RAM, and microSD card slot. In addition, the tablet packs Android 4.4.2 based MIUI 6.0, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 6700 mAh battery.
