LG is reportedly working on a new Y-series Android smartphone, known as Y70, which will be released in the coming months.

Spotted by the folks at My LG Phones in the Indian import shipment tracking website Zauba.com database, the LG Y70 smartphone will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Other specifications of the smartphone are a mystery at this moment.

MY LG Phones speculates that Y70 could be a successor to the company’s F70 or L70 smartphones, making it a mid-range device. An earlier leak had indicated that the display resolution of the phone will be 1280x720p, which is another hint at the mid-range status of the smartphone.

We expect to hear more about the phone in the coming weeks, most likely at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, where LG traditionally showcases new mid-range or entry-level smartphones.
