Intex introduces Aqua Power HD with 4000 mAh battery for INR 9,444

2GB of RAM & octa-core CPU also in tow

Indian smartphone vendor Intex has unveiled a new Android smartphone in the country. Targeted to the consumers, who want smartphones with long battery life, the new Intex Aqua Power HD features a 4000mAh battery. The company claims that this battery will provide talk time of up to 20 hours along with a standby time of 500 hours.

The smartphone also packs a 5-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM and dual-SIM support. In addition, it comes with 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter and 2GB of RAM. Among other specifications, the Aqua Power HD is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core processor and includes 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 3G support and Android 4.4.2. The company notes that it is upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop, but hasn’t shared an update timeline.

“An upgrade in the Aqua Power Range, the HD version comes with an enhanced screen, memory and camera to name a few features. At Intex, it is our effort to constantly understand and deliver on customer expectations. We are known for innovation and are proud to announce our latest offering, Intex Aqua Power HD at a great price,” said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies.

According to Intex, the smartphone has been priced at INR 9,444 annd will go on sale in the coming days in White, Black, Blue and Grey colour options.
