The factory images are based on Android 5.0.2, so at least the tablets will directly jump to the latest Android version and will not have to go through the whole process of Android 4.4.4 > Android 5.0 > Android 5.0.1 > Android 5.0.2.
There is no word on the over-the-air (OTA) roll-out at this point, but as the factory images are already available, we can expect to see the OTA updates in the coming days.
With the latest round of factory image release, all the Nexus devices, which were supposed to get Lollipop, have at least got the factory images based on Android 5.0.
In related news, Google has also released the hardware component binaries for these tablets.
Thanks Ishan
