Indian smartphone vendor Lava has silently unveiled two new budget 3G smartphones in the country. Part of the company’s iris line-up, the new iris 350 and iris 470 are now available at ebay India for INR 2,999 and INR 4,399 respectively. While the iris 350 has been listed on Lava’s website, iris 470 is yet to appear.
Running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the iris 350 smartphone comes with a 3.5-inch TFT display with 480×320 resolution and dual-SIM support. It is powered by 1GHz single-core processor with a meagre 256MB of RAM. It also packs internal storage of 512MB, expandable up to 32.5GB. In addition, the phone sports a 2MP primary camera with LED flash sans HD recording, a 0.3MP front-facing camera and 1400 mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, it supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. Clearly, iris 350 is a budget smartphone for customers looking for a cheap handset with basic multimedia features.
Coming to Lava iris 470, the smartphone features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854x480p) display, 512MB of RAM and 1.3GHz dual-core processor. The phone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and packs 5MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front shooter.
Other specifications of the phone include 1650 mAh battery, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. The connectivity options in iris 470 are same as iris 350.
At the given price-tag, the smartphone will have a hard time competing with the likes of Asus Zenfone 4, which costs just INR 900 more, but comes with far better specifications.
