This isn’t the first time, we are hearing about Samsung’s alleged plans to skip Snapdragon 810 for S6. Earlier, Digitimes had reported the next Galaxy-series flagship will feature Samsung’s own 14nm Exynos-series processor because of overheating and other issues with Qualcomm chip.
Traditionally, Samsung has used both Qualcomm and Exynos-series chips for Galaxy S smartphones, but this year could be different. If Qualcomm chip-snub indeed turns out to be true, Samsung’s semiconductor arm will have a hard time fulfilling processor demand for Galaxy S6.
To remind you, rumours indicate that Samsung Galaxy S6 will come with a Quad-HD display and touch-based fingerprint sensor (instead of the swipe-based). The phone will also reportedly sport a glass and metal design.

If it’s true it could be another nail in the coffin for Samsung.
I can see Tim Cook slyly smiling already.
