Asus unveils Zenfone Zoom camera-phone with 3x optical zoom

In addition to the new Zenfone 2, Asus on Monday introduced a camera-phone in the form of Zenfone Zoom at CES 2015. According to the company, Zoom will be released in Q2, 2015 for $399.

Asus Zenfone Zoom is very similar to Zenfone 2, but with imaging capabilities on steroids. The phone sports a 13MP rear camera sensor along with a 10-element lens & 3x optical zoom. The camera is also capable of 12x digital zoom for further detailed view. Among other imaging features, ZenFone Zoom packs optical image stabilizer (OIS) for shake-free photos, laser auto-focus, and manual mode to control of ISO settings, shutter speed and other settings.
