ZTE introduces Star 2 with 5-inch display & system-level voice control

ZTE on Thursday unveiled its new Star 2 Android smartphone at a press event in Guangzhou, China. It is the company’s new 4G flagship model and has immediately gone on sale in the Chinese market. The company has promised to reveal availability details for other markets on a later date.

The ZTE Star 2 carries a price-tag of 2,499 yuan and comes with 5-inch display with Gorilla Glass 3, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.4 with MiFavor 3.0 UI. In addition, ZTE has included 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, 5MP front shooter, 16GB of internal storage and 2300 mAh battery.

ZTE has stated that Star 2 packs system-level voice control, which allows the consumers to operate a lot of features of the phone with their voice. With voice-controls, users can unlock the device, make phone calls, open third-party apps, play music, take photos and much more.
