Samsung Galaxy A7 could be the company’s thinnest smartphone ever

Samsung Galaxy A7While Samsung might not be joining the likes of Gionee, Oppo or Vivo to compete for world’s thinnest smartphone crown, the Korean manufacturer is planning to release its thinnest smartphone soon. Unlike the Gionee or Oppo phones, the upcoming Galaxy A7 won’t be 5.1mm or 4.7mm thick, but it will still be quite slim at 6.3mm.

Although Samsung is yet to officially announce the phone and its specifications, the Galaxy A7 appeared in the database of Chinese regulator TENAA, which is a quite credible source of pre-launch leaks. The TENAA listing reveals that A7 will measure 150.9×75.9×6.3mm, making it the thinnest smartphone from company, piping the Galaxy Alpha and A5 (6.7mm thick).

There is no word on the exact launch date or pricing of the A7 at this moment, but thanks to the TENAA listing and previous leaks, we know that the smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter.
