Celkon has announced the launch of its new Millennia Epic Q550 smartphone in the country. Priced at INR 10,499, it is a dual-SIM phone with Android 4.4 and 3500 mAh battery on-board.

“At Celkon we have always believed in upping the ante, each time we launch an offering. With the new Celkon Millennia Epic Q550 we have raised the bar one more time. At just 143g weight and 8mm thickness, we have been able to pack a powerful battery for longer life in a uni-body design all at an astounding price tag,” said Y Guru, Chairman and Managing Director – Celkon Mobiles.

Among other specifications, Celkon Millennia Epic Q550 comes with 5.5-inch HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. The phone also features 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and 3G connectivity.

According to Celkon, the phone will be available in the coming days.

In related news, Celkon has revealed that it will be releasing its first Android One smartphone in January next year. There is no word on the specifications of the phone, but it is likely to be the company’s first smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop on-board.
