TCL Communication-owned Alcatel OneTouch has launched a new Android smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed as Alcatel OneTouch Flash, the new smartphone is being targeted to the selfie-lovers and sports a 5MP front shooter on-board.

“Flash is our latest innovative phone on e-commerce platform along with our strategic partner Flipkart. Flash is built truly for selfie fans with 2 key points – a good resolution front facing camera and the beauty Selfie mode to enhance the user’s photo without the need of any extra application,” said Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, APAC, Alcatel One Touch.

In addition, Alcatel OneTouch has included a 5.5-inch HD display, 1.4GHz octa-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot on the smartphone. The phone also features a 13MP rear camera with LED flash for the non-selfie imaging need.

On the software front, Alcatel OneTouch Flash runs on Android 4.4.2 and comes with gesture support with a number of pre-defined gestures like Smart Wake.

Pricing and availability

According to Alcatel OneTouch, Flash will go on sale beginning November 21, i.e. tomorrow exclusively at Flipkart.com. The phone has been priced at INR 9,999 and will be available in White and Grey color options.

Update: The pre-orders for the phone are now open at Flipkart. Shipping will begin in end of November.
