Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has added yet another smartphone (more of a variant) to its Zenfone line-up in the form of Zenfone 5 Lite. The new smartphone will go on sale in Philippines next week for Php 5,595 ($124).

The smartphone packs similar specifications to those present in Zenfone 5 A501CG but slightly downgraded. The Zenfone 5 Lite A502CG features a 5-inch qHD (960x540p) IPS display, Android 4.4 with Zen UI, 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 2500 mAh battery. The phone also comes with dual-SIM support, 3G, 8GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot. On the imaging front, Asus has included 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 0.3MP front shooter on the phone.

Asus Zenfone 5 Lite will be available in Charcoal Black, Pearl White and Cherry Red colour options in Philippines. There is no word on the release in other markets right now, but we don’t see why it would be launched in more countries. We hope to hear more from the company in the coming days.
